When we were coming back from Gatlinburg Thanksgiving 2005, we came upon a car wreck that
thrown a little boy out of the van and sent the mom into the windshield. While Heather calmed
the mom down and tended to her wounds, I got the kids out of the van and brought them to our
car. It was cold and rainy and these young kids had been sleeping and were horrified. John Wesley
opened our car door and stuck out his beloved blanky and said "here, their cold" and gave up his
blanky for them. Even at that moment I remember holding back tears stunned at his attention to
those kids needs. He writes about that weekend and that event in true John Wesley style.
